Kansas City International Airport was evacuated on March 8 after authorities received reports of a potential threat involving a suspicious vehicle and possible device in the terminal and parking garage. Approximately 2,000 travelers and staff were asked to leave as police and the FBI conducted searches, including with bomb-sniffing dogs. The evacuation lasted about two hours, during which inbound flights were held on taxiways. Officials later determined the threat was not credible, and the terminal and parking garage reopened with normal operations resuming.
