A bus accident in eastern Mexico's Veracruz state on Christmas Eve resulted in at least 10 deaths and 32 injuries. The vehicle was traveling from Mexico City to Chicontepec when it crashed in Zontecomatlan. Authorities confirmed nine adults and one child among the deceased. Fatal road accidents are frequent in Mexico, often attributed to speeding or mechanical issues. A similar incident in November killed 10 people.
