A Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus caught fire during refuelling at the Nilanga bus depot in Latur district on Thursday evening. The diesel tank reportedly exploded or a spark triggered the blaze, engulfing the vehicle. Fuel operator Baswaraj Mathpati sustained severe burns and died the following day. Firefighters contained the fire before it reached nearby diesel storage, preventing a larger disaster. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause.
