
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts light to moderate rain and thundershowers on Tuesday, February 24, in Kolkata and several south Bengal districts, ending a dry spell since November. Rainfall is also expected in north Bengal's Darjeeling, Kalimpong, and Jalpaiguri. Temperatures are predicted to remain stable, with maximums around 29-30°C and minimums near 20-21°C. The IMD issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms and gusty winds in parts of West Bengal, advising caution during the weather event.
