IMD Issues Thunderstorm and Rain Alerts for Hyderabad and Telangana Districts

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued alerts for thunderstorms and rainfall across 17 districts of Telangana, including Hyderabad, on February 24, 2026. Hyderabad is expected to experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers, mainly in the evening, with temperatures around 32°C to 22°C. Surrounding districts such as Sangareddy, Khammam, and Nalgonda may also receive scattered showers. The IMD cautioned about lightning, squalls, and gusty winds, advising residents to monitor forecasts and plan accordingly.
