Twelve years after Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 disappeared with 239 people aboard, a renewed deep-sea search by Ocean Infinity in the southern Indian Ocean has found no confirmed wreckage. The search, conducted in two phases between March 2025 and January 2026, covered about 7,571 square kilometres but faced weather disruptions. Families of those onboard are urging the Malaysian government to extend the search contract or allow other firms to continue efforts under similar terms, seeking answers to the enduring mystery.
