A passenger bus traveling from Pokhara to Kathmandu plunged into the Trishuli River near Gajuri in Nepal's Dhading district early Monday, killing 18 to 19 people and injuring 25 to 28 others. Rescue operations involving Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police are ongoing amid challenging terrain and limited resources. Among the victims were foreign nationals, including a British, New Zealand, Chinese, Japanese, and Dutch citizen. Authorities suspect over-speeding but have not confirmed the exact cause, and an investigation has been ordered.
