Heavy Rain and Storms in Sikkim Cause One Death and Multiple Injuries

Heavy rain and hailstorms struck several parts of Sikkim on March 15, causing severe weather conditions including strong winds and thunderstorms. A 55-year-old woman, Kala Devi Chettri, died after a tree fell on her in Rakdong Kafer, Tumin-Lingi constituency. Additionally, three people were injured when a tree collapsed onto a vehicle in Chota Singtam, Pakyong district. Authorities deployed emergency teams to clear roads and urged caution, while some areas experienced temporary power outages.
