Western Railway will operate a 13-hour block on UP and Down slow lines between Grant Road and Mumbai Central from January 3-4, 2026, to demolish the Elphinstone bridge. This will divert suburban services to fast lines, causing cancellations of approximately 120 services on Sunday and 19 on Saturday. Some trains will be short-terminated or reversed. An additional 7.30-hour block on the Down slow line at Prabhadevi will further impact services for dismantling a road overbridge.
