Six U.S. service members, including Tech. Sgt. Ashley B. Pruitt from Kentucky, died in a KC-135 aerial refueling tanker crash in western Iraq on March 12. Pruitt, a mother and assistant flight chief with nearly nine years of service and multiple deployments, was assigned to the 6th Air Refueling Wing at MacDill Air Force Base. The crash occurred in friendly airspace and is under investigation. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support Pruitt's family.
