Over 100 Mumbai Local Trains Cancelled Due to Kandivali Car Shed Work Delays

Mumbai's Western Railway recently opened the sixth line between Kandivali and Borivali, but incomplete track connections at the Kandivali car shed have led to cancellations of over 100 local trains on January 20 and 21, 2026. The suspension of entry and exit at the car shed and speed restrictions between Kandivali and Malad have disrupted fast corridor services, affecting 12-coach, 15-coach, and some air-conditioned trains. Authorities advise commuters to plan accordingly during this ongoing maintenance work.
