Air China to Resume Beijing-Pyongyang Flights from March 30 After COVID-19 Restrictions

Air China will resume flights between Beijing and Pyongyang starting March 30, operating weekly on Mondays until mid-May before reducing frequency in June. This follows North Korea's gradual easing of strict COVID-19 border restrictions imposed in 2020, including reopening passenger train services and resuming Air Koryo flights in 2023. In early 2024, North Korea allowed Russian tourists, marking the first foreign visitors since the pandemic, before expanding tourism to other nationalities.
