Fresh snowfall occurred in several higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, including Gulmarg, Pir Ki Gali, and the Sonamarg-Zojila axis, leading to the closure of key mountain roads such as the Srinagar-Leh highway and Mughal Road. Meanwhile, plains including Srinagar experienced rainfall, causing a drop in daytime temperatures. The Meteorological Department forecasts erratic weather with intermittent rain and snow until March 20, followed by generally dry conditions and another wet spell around March 24-25.
