North India is bracing for severe winter conditions, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting dense fog and cold waves across several states. Dense fog is expected to persist through early January in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and other regions, disrupting transportation. Cold day and severe cold day conditions are also predicted for Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, and east Uttar Pradesh, alongside cold wave warnings for parts of Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Telangana.
