Traffic on Thane's Ghodbunder Road was disrupted for over two hours after a container truck carrying 25 tonnes of crude glycerin leaked its contents shortly after midnight on Sunday. The incident occurred at Gaimukh Ghat as the truck traveled from Ambernath to Gujarat. No injuries were reported. Emergency personnel spread soil to prevent skidding, and the leakage was plugged. Authorities stated crude glycerin is not hazardous and is a low-value byproduct used in various industries. The company was informed.
