The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for dense fog in several districts of Uttar Pradesh and an orange alert for Bihar. Visibility was reported below 200 meters in various airports. The IMD also noted atmospheric conditions including cyclonic circulations over the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal, a strong jet stream over Northeast India, and a potential Western Disturbance affecting the Western Himalayan Region.
