Dense fog and cold wave conditions have enveloped Delhi-NCR and large parts of north India, significantly reducing visibility and disrupting air, rail, and road travel. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings for dense fog and severe cold waves across several states, with visibility dropping to near zero in some areas. Delhi's air quality remains very poor amid the cold. The IMD also forecasts rain and snowfall in the Himalayan region, which may further lower temperatures in surrounding plains over the coming days.
