Himachal Pradesh Records Above-Normal Temperatures Ahead of Expected Rainfall

Himachal Pradesh has experienced unusually high temperatures, with many areas recording 5 to nearly 15 degrees Celsius above normal in early March. Towns like Shimla, Kalpa, and Una have seen maximum temperatures approaching or exceeding past records amid a persistent dry spell. However, a fresh Western Disturbance is expected from March 6, likely bringing rain and snowfall to higher elevations, which may cause temperatures to drop in those regions over the next few days.
