Himachal Pradesh Sees Unseasonal High Temperatures Ahead of Expected Rainfall and Snowfall

Himachal Pradesh has experienced unusually high temperatures in early March, with several towns recording maximum temperatures 10 to 15 degrees Celsius above normal, nearing or surpassing past March records. This heatwave follows a persistent dry spell and rainfall deficit. However, a fresh Western Disturbance is expected from March 6, likely bringing rain and snowfall to higher elevations, which may cause temperatures to drop in those areas over the next few days.
