Delhi is expected to experience dense to very dense fog on New Year's Day 2026, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) also forecasting light rainfall in parts of the national capital. Similar foggy conditions are predicted for East Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Odisha, and Punjab. The fog may persist until January 5, 2026. Meanwhile, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh and parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are anticipated to receive rainfall and snowfall.
