A 60-foot iron foot overbridge in north Delhi's Roop Nagar collapsed on Tuesday morning, resulting in the death of a woman, believed to be around 50 years old and a beggar. The bridge, approximately 30 years old, had been declared unsafe and closed with barricades, but was still used by locals due to lack of alternatives. Rescue teams from Delhi Fire Service, NDRF, and Delhi Police recovered the woman's body from the drain below. Authorities have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation, with a committee set to report within 48 hours.
