Heavy Snowfall Covers Badrinath and Kedarnath Temples in Uttarakhand

Heavy snowfall has covered the Badrinath Temple and surrounding peaks in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district with a thick white blanket, causing a sharp temperature drop and severe cold conditions. Earlier, Kedarnath experienced extreme winter weather with 3-4 feet of snow and temperatures below -16°C. Despite harsh conditions, security forces maintained continuous patrolling around Kedarnath. The Kedarnath temple is scheduled to reopen for devotees on April 22, 2026, as announced by local authorities.
