Fire Guts Three Shops on Kolkata's BB Ganguly Street; Cause Under Investigation

A fire broke out on BB Ganguly Street in central Kolkata on Wednesday morning, engulfing three adjacent shops including a plywood, furniture, and plastic goods store. Ten fire engines were deployed to control the blaze, which lasted nearly two hours and also damaged a nearby residential house. Fire officials stated the cause remains unknown and forensic investigation is needed. No casualties were reported, though significant property damage occurred.
