A Uttarakhand Transport Corporation bus caught fire and was completely destroyed near Rishikesh early Thursday morning. The blaze, believed to have started from a short circuit, occurred around 5 am on the highway connecting Nepali Farm to Doiwala. The driver, conductor, and four passengers safely evacuated the bus, which was traveling from Lohaghat to Dehradun. Fire tenders extinguished the fire, but the vehicle was a total loss.
