Western Disturbance Brings Snowfall and Cold Wave Conditions Across Northern India

Northern India is experiencing a severe cold wave with temperatures dropping significantly across states including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. A fresh western disturbance is expected to bring light to moderate snowfall and rain in higher altitudes of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand from January 16 to 22. Dense fog and cold conditions persist in plains, affecting visibility and daily life. Meteorological departments have issued warnings and advised caution during this period.
