
A major fire broke out shortly after midnight on Sunday at Hotel Babel on Walchand Hirachand Road in Mumbai's Fort area. The blaze, classified as level 1, affected the first and second floors of the two-storey building, damaging electric wiring, furniture, mattresses, and scrap materials over approximately 2,000 square feet, including parts of the terrace. Multiple fire engines and emergency personnel responded, and the fire was controlled by 2:25 am. No injuries were reported, and the cause remains unknown.
