
Indonesia experienced multiple seismic events in late 2025, with several earthquakes recorded across the archipelago. A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck near Bukit on December 30th at a shallow depth of 10km. Earlier tremors included a 4.6 magnitude quake in Northern Sumatra on December 28th, a 4.4 magnitude quake on December 3rd, and a 4.5 magnitude quake on November 26th. The National Center for Seismology reported these events, noting that shallow earthquakes can cause more significant ground shaking.
