Haryana Secretariat Official Dies After Jumping from Building; Investigation Underway

Ganesh Arora, a 58-year-old special secretary to IAS officer Hitesh Meena at the Haryana Secretariat in Chandigarh, died after jumping from the building on Wednesday afternoon. Reports vary on the floor from which he jumped, citing the sixth or seventh floor. Colleagues said Arora had been upset over his posting and had previously attempted suicide twice but was stopped. Police have launched an investigation and sent his body for post-mortem, with no suicide note found so far.
