A passenger bus plunged into a deep gorge on the Inter-American Highway in Guatemala's Solola Department, killing at least 15 people, including 11 men, three women, and a minor. Nineteen others were injured and taken to nearby hospitals. Authorities cited dense fog and reduced visibility as contributing factors in the accident, which occurred between kilometers 172 and 174. The Guatemalan government declared three days of national mourning following the incident.
