Water Levels in Mullaperiyar and Vaigai Dams Remain Below Maximum Limits

The Mullaperiyar dam's water level was recorded at 116.95 feet on Sunday and 116.75 feet on Monday, both below the maximum permissible level of 142 feet. Inflows and discharges varied, with Sunday seeing 258 cusecs inflow and 467 cusecs discharge, and Monday 47 cusecs inflow with the same discharge. The Vaigai dam levels were around 42.2 feet, below its 71-foot maximum, with differing inflow rates. Combined storage in Periyar credit was approximately 2,900 mcft on Sunday and 2,868 mcft on Monday.
