IMD Issues Weather Alerts for Rain, Thunderstorms, and Winds Across Multiple Indian States

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued weather alerts for several Indian regions due to a low-pressure system over the southwest Bay of Bengal. Rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds are expected across eastern, central, and southern states, including Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, and Tamil Nadu, between February 23 and 25. Northern hill states may see light rain and snowfall from February 24 to 28. Coastal areas are advised to take precautions amid strong winds and rainfall forecasts.
