Heavy Snowfall Strands Over 100 in J-K's Kishtwar; Rescue Operations Underway

Heavy snowfall at Sinthan Top and Margan Top in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district stranded over 100 people, including schoolchildren, and more than 30 vehicles, disrupting the road connecting Kishtwar with Anantnag. A joint rescue operation by police, Army, and civil administration evacuated 235 people from 38 vehicles amid challenging weather. Additionally, a landslide near a hydro-power project caused one death and injured another. Authorities advised avoiding travel on affected routes and closed schools in nearby areas as a precaution.
