Rescue Operation Underway After Vehicles Stranded by Snowfall in Kishtwar Passes

More than 30 light motor vehicles were stranded due to fresh snowfall and slippery conditions at Sinthan Top and Margan Top in Kishtwar district, disrupting the road connecting Jammu's Kishtwar with south Kashmir's Anantnag. Police, Army, and civil administration launched a joint rescue and snow clearance operation to ensure passenger safety. Continuous snowfall and low temperatures posed challenges. Authorities advised commuters to avoid travel on the Sinthan-Margan stretch until conditions improve and the route is declared safe.
