
Since hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah began, at least 30,000 displaced people have sought shelter in Lebanon, according to the UNHCR. Many others remain in vehicles or traffic, with the number expected to rise. The Lebanese government has opened 21 shelters, while UN agencies note increased Syrian refugee movements back into Syria and express concern over civilian casualties, including children, from Israeli air strikes.
