Night temperatures in Punjab, which have been above normal, are expected to drop significantly, with cold wave conditions anticipated in parts of Haryana, Chandigarh, and Punjab from January 3 to 6. Minimum temperatures have been markedly above normal, while day temperatures are below normal. Light rain and dense fog have also been reported. The India Meteorological Department forecasts a 2-4°C fall in minimum temperatures over the next three days, with dense fog expected until December 8.
