Himachal Pradesh experienced its first snowfall of the season in higher reaches of Lahaul and Spiti, Kinnaur, and Kullu districts, ending a dry spell. Light snow and rain are forecast to continue until January 2, with a possibility of more precipitation on January 5-6. Minimum temperatures are 2-5°C above normal, ranging from -3°C to 11°C, while maximum temperatures are 3°C above normal, between 3°C and 19°C. Solan recorded the highest maximum temperature at 19.5°C, and Kukumseri was the coldest at -3.4°C.
