Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has introduced 42 additional train stoppages across 23 trains in Assam and West Bengal for 2025. This initiative aims to enhance passenger convenience and regional connectivity, particularly for residents in semi-urban and rural areas. The new halts, including stations like Diphu and Goalpara Town in Assam, and Kumedpur and Old Malda in West Bengal, will benefit commuters and long-distance travelers. Prominent trains such as the Brahmaputra Mail and Kamrup Express are among those receiving these additional stops.
