
On Sunday evening near Adamuz in southern Spain, a high-speed Iryo train traveling from Malaga to Madrid derailed and crossed onto an adjacent track, colliding with an oncoming Renfe train from Madrid to Huelva. The crash killed at least 21 people and injured over 70, with many seriously hurt. The accident occurred on a recently renovated straight track, and the cause remains under investigation.
