A microbus carrying Indian pilgrims returning from Nepal's Manakamana Temple plunged off a mountain road in Gorkha district on March 14, killing seven Indian nationals and injuring seven others. The victims, including two women and five men from Tamil Nadu, were traveling with a group of 24 pilgrims. The electric bus slipped off a steep curve and fell about 150-200 meters into a ravine. The driver escaped unharmed, while his assistant was injured. Rescue and medical treatment efforts are ongoing, and investigations into the cause continue amid Nepal's rising road accident rates.
