Ten Patients Die in Odisha Hospital Fire; Leaders Express Condolences

At least ten patients died in a fire that broke out early Monday in the ICU of Odisha's SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. Vice President C P Radhakrishnan and President Droupadi Murmu expressed sorrow over the incident, offering condolences to the families and prayers for the injured. The President and Members of Parliament observed a minute's silence at Rashtrapati Bhavan as a mark of respect for the victims. Eleven hospital staff were also injured while rescuing patients.
