Indian Railways Launches Special Trains for Holi and Ugadi Festivals in 2026

Indian Railways is operating numerous special trains to accommodate increased travel during the Holi and Ugadi festivals in early 2026. South Western Railway will run five weekly trips between Hubballi, Karnataka, and Muzaffarpur, Bihar, with a 23-coach train covering major states over three days. Nationwide, 1,244 Holi special train trips will connect key cities and regional centers across multiple zones from February 25 to March 18, with potential increases if demand rises, aiming to ease passenger movement during the festive season.
