However, Tirunelveli district recorded a significant 95% rainfall surge, with 100.5 cm compared to its usual 51.4 cm. While several other districts also saw excess rainfall, some areas like Chengalpet experienced deficits. October was the wettest month, but rainfall weakened in November and December.
