The city recorded 18 days with lows below 10°C, notably featuring two extended periods of consecutive cold days from December 9-16 and December 19-26. The lowest temperature recorded was 7.9°C on December 11. Meteorologists attribute this prolonged cold spell to persistent northerly winds over Maharashtra and a lack of significant western disturbances.
