Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) conducted its annual bomb threat mock exercise on December 29. The drill simulated an abandoned bag with mock explosives at the Integrated Cargo Terminal. The Airport Security Group of CISF, supported by the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad of Karnataka State Police and Mangaluru City Police, neutralized the perceived threat. A debriefing session followed to discuss response effectiveness and improvements.
