Fire Erupts at Railway Mechanical Workshop in Dibrugarh, Assam

A fire broke out on March 5 at the first mechanical railway workshop in Northeast India, located in Kadamani, Dibrugarh, Assam. Smoke was first seen from a store inside the workshop during the afternoon, causing local concern. Authorities promptly alerted fire services, and six fire tenders from Dibrugarh and Lahowal controlled the blaze within hours. Preliminary reports suggest welding sparks may have triggered the fire.
