Fire Damages Hosiery Factory in Ludhiana; Two Workers Hospitalized

A fire broke out on Thursday afternoon at a hosiery factory in Deep Nagar, Ludhiana, primarily affecting the second and third floors of the building. Most workers escaped safely, though two reportedly lost consciousness due to smoke inhalation and were hospitalized. Firefighters used over 50 water rounds and 23 fire tenders to control the blaze, which destroyed goods, machinery, and raw materials worth lakhs.
