United Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Los Angeles Due to Engine Fire

A United Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner flight from Los Angeles to Newark was forced to make an emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport due to a possible engine fire shortly after takeoff. The aircraft, carrying 256 passengers and 12 crew, safely returned and passengers were evacuated via emergency slides without injuries. The FAA has launched an investigation into the incident, which caused some air traffic delays. United Airlines arranged alternate transportation for affected passengers.
