Cricketer Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma have purchased over 5 acres (approximately 2.1 hectares) of land in Zirad village near Alibaug, Raigad district, for around Rs 37.86 crore. This marks their second land acquisition in the area after buying about 8 acres in 2022, where they built a luxury villa. The transaction, registered on January 13, 2026, involved two adjoining plots bought from Sonali Amit Rajput, with a stamp duty of Rs 2.27 crore paid. Alibaug is increasingly attracting high-net-worth individuals due to improved connectivity and growing luxury residential developments.
