Navratri 2026 Dates: Maha Ashtami, Navami, Saptami, and Dussehra Timing Clarified
Navratri 2026 celebrations face date confusion, especially for Maha Ashtami and Navami, as their tithis span two calendar days. Most sources agree Maha Ashtami falls on October 19, with Ashtami tithi starting on October 18 morning and ending October 19 late morning. Navami follows on October 19 afternoon to October 20. Regional practices vary, affecting observance dates for Saptami and Maha Saptami. Devotees are advised to follow local Panchang and auspicious muhurat for rituals like Kanya Pujan and fasts during this extended Navratri period.
