A neurologist from AIIMS Delhi explained that Neurocysticercosis, a brain infection caused by the Taenia solium worm, is a common cause of seizures in children. The worm eggs, found in soil, can enter the body through improperly washed or cooked vegetables. Dr. Priyanka Sehrawat noted that the brain reacts to these foreign particles by forming a swelling, which can trigger seizures or headaches. She emphasized proper hygiene and cooking practices as preventative measures.
